Socal Photog Shoot – High Fashion
Well, as I mentioned in my previous blog post I was gearing up for the August Socal Photog Shootout happening up north in Orange City CA. I wasn’t sure what to expect heading up there since this was my first time participating in a photography workshop, the theme was high fashion. Definitely something I thought I would never have a chance to shoot. My main goals where to have fun, get some great shots and meet some photog peeps. I can say I accomplished all three. It was amazing being around so many talented people doing what I love to do, the people I had a chance to meet were friendly and willing to share. I want to personal thank Hanssie, Matt, and Rob for organizing the event, You guys are opening doors and giving opportunity to photographers that might not always have the chance to get out shoot in those situations, you guys rock!

Smugmug and Socal Photog Shootout
On Thursday I will be heading up to Costa Mesa CA to check out the Smugmug meeting and listen to the guest speaker “[b]ecker” talk about wedding photography. This guy is also a master at social media and networking, so being able to sit in on one of his presentations definitely will lend itself to some valuable information.
Also this weekend I will be heading back up north again for a photography workshop put on by Socal Photog Shootout. This will be my first photography workshop dealing with models and professional instructors. I am extremely excited to get up there and meet some new faces as well as get some time behind the camera and capture some cool imagery. For those of you who don’t know this, It’s only been about five months or so since I have really started to emerge 100% of myself in photography, so I think this is going to be an awesome opportunity to get out and shoot some talent and start to find my style. I will post some of my favorite pics later on next week so keep an eye out!
SoCal Photog Shootout Workshop
Next Saturday on the 29th of August I will be traveling up to Orange County CA to take part in photography workshop hosted by Socal Photog Shootout. Every other month a group of 50 or so photographers get together and shoot specific themes, learn techniques and share thoughts and ideas with one another. I am extremely excited to be one of the fifty who was able to sign up for this event. And since this will be my first photography workshop I can’t wait to take it all in.

San Diego photo shoot at the beach
Last Sunday I got together with a rock star couple and their daughter to see if we could get some nice shots of the family at the beach. Well I think we succeeded. You would think these guys were in the habit of getting their photo taken everyday because when it was time to start it seemed they knew exactly what to do. I was just the guy with his camera and everything else just happened. It was awesome! Here are a few shots from the day, check it out!
L.A. Engagement Shoot with some very close friends!
Last week I was excited find out that I would be shooting my good friend Chris(also a photographer) and his awesome fiance Heather for their engagement photos. Everything about the shoot went well. They showed me areas of L.A. I haven’t seen before while at the same time getting some amazing shots of them. These are a few from the shoot!
2009 Worldwide Photo Walk

2009 Photo Walk
I just signed up for Scott Kelby’s 2009 worldwide photo walk on July 18th. www.worldwidephotowalk.com. This is the 2nd annual worldwide photo walk where thousands of photographers around the world get together in their designated cities and walk around different locations and take photos, share ideas and meet new people. I will be posting shots from the event once its over.
